Anderson Landfill is your one-stop shop for common disposal needs. The landfill welcomes both residential and commercial customers.
Located on 1,262 acres in Anderson, California, Anderson Landfill is a Subtitle D-compliant non-hazardous landfill that utilizes the latest equipment available to safely and reliably manage materials brought to our location for disposal. Anderson Landfill is owned and operated by WM, the country’s leading environmental services company.
Environmental stewardship is a core value of the Anderson Landfill culture. This facility dedicates much of its nonindustrial area to benefit the ecological richness native plants, insects, and animals. Industrial operations are strategically planned to minimize impacts to the surrounding ecosystem.

Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Saturday: 7:00 a.m. – Noon
Closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Acceptable Items for disposal: All loads coming into the landfill must be tarped/covered.
- Trash (Municipal Solid Waste)
- Treated wood waste
- Trailers and mobile homes (must call in advance)
- Yard Waste
- Construction and Demolition Debris
- Industrial and Special Waste (call for details)
- Friable and Non-Friable Asbestos (call for details)
- Contaminated Soil (call for details)
- Boats which have been drained of all fluids
Acceptable Items for recycle:
- Electronic Waste (televisions, computers, cell phones)
- Tires (less than 9 per visit)
- Appliances (May contain Freon)
- Mixed metals
- Mattresses (Up to 5 mattresses and box springs at no charge)
Unacceptable Items
- Household Hazardous Waste (paints, pesticides, herbicides, fluorescent and LED light bulbs, batteries).
- Liquid waste of any kind
- Ammunition
- Solar panels
- Motor vehicle engines
- Motor homes
